Delicious!! Met up with some old friends from school at Joy Yee’s in Naperville. We all shared a few dishes but by far the best was their pineapple friend rice with chicken AND shrimp. Really great mix of flavors and textures. Plus how cute is it that they serve it in a pineapple??

This weekend, I went to the Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Winebar nearest St. Louis to celebrate one my friends getting a new job! We indulged with this fun Andy Warhol bottle of Dom - yum! We all shared some apps but I know from past experiences, their steak is AMAZING! Will be back again and again

Cooked Plantains are Yummy! Have you ever had a cooked plantain before? We’ll, it’s pretty much a bite of heaven. I ordered this at a steak house the other day and was pleasantly surprised with the results. The other odd dish next to it was called fried polenta. That was very good as well. I could really go for some food at this time. Too bad it’s almost midnight! Next time you’re out be on the lookout for these two items on the menu and give them a shot. You may surprise yourself and like them a lot! (:

Stopped at My Daddy’s Cheesecake with a friend in the Clayton area of St. Louis today for a quick sweet treat! He got the red velvet cupcake and I got a mint chocolate one. Super tasty and a fun, cute little place - they obviously have a HUGE selection of cheesecakes and other sweets but also a decent menu of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. 

Chase away your Monday blues with great company & a fun lunch! I’m so glad I used Yumvite today. Made a new friend & ended my lunch break with this funny little guy & an expresso! Thanks Yumvite!

My sister was visiting from out of town and we of course had to grab some sushi. This time we actually ventured and ordered an interesting dessert off the menu. I was introduced to mochi, green tea mochi ice cream to be exact and it was delicious! The combination of the gummy mochi shell & cold ice cream inside was interesting and VERY tasty! Can’t wait for my next Japanese dessert fix.

Had some family in town for the weekend and we started out our evening at Rosalita’s with some massive chicken nachos! They were insanely good and a perfect way to start out our night! It’s a really fun Mexican place with a great menu and tons of different kinds of margaritas. 

This was submitted by one of our members last night that had a great dating experience and wanted to share it with us! They went to dinner at an Asian Nuevo style restaurant called Chow Down. Best Ribs at Yardbird Restaurant

I had the most amazing ribs the other day at a restaurant called Yardbird on South Beach in Miami. The martinis were made with bourbon and they were undeniably some of the bet martinis I’ve ever had. It is a perfect spot for a Saturday night date if you’re looking for some interesting southern dishes with a story and some spice behind it!
